"Drowning In Cairo" at the National Queer Theater
Ali recently took part in a second stage reading for “Drowning In Cairo”, a new play by Adam El-Sayigh at the National Queer Theater’s Village Reading Series. Ali previously did a reading for this play earlier this year at an NYU Thesis Workshop. The play tells the story of 3 men growing up in Cairo coming to terms with their sexuality and how the culture and legal system impacts their relationships. The reading was once again directed by Tony-nominated Celine Rosenthal and was be held at Arts On Site on Oct. 27th, 2018 at 7pm.
